Itinerary
In the early morning hours, between 1:00 and 2:30 a.m., you will be picked up directly from your hotel. Depending on the option booked, you will travel in a luxurious, air-conditioned sedan or a spacious van, always with the utmost comfort and excellent service. To fuel you for the day, you will receive snacks, a Coke, and three bottles of water. During the drive through the desert, you will experience the impressive mountain ranges around 6:00 a.m., whose unique rock strata reflect the history of the Earth. Your first stop is Saqqara, where you will marvel at the groundbreaking Step Pyramid of Djoser – the oldest monumental structure in the world. Our experienced guide will lead you through the history of this fascinating development, from the simple mastaba to the familiar pyramid shape. You will also have the opportunity to visit one of the impressive tombs of the nobles, which depict everyday life in ancient Egypt with colorful reliefs. Next, the journey continues to Memphis, the former capital of ancient Egypt. Here you'll encounter the colossal statue of Ramses II, which impresses with its immense size and intricate detail. The mysterious alabaster sphinx also awaits you at this historically significant site. In Giza, the legendary Giza Plateau awaits, home to the Great Pyramids of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. At your leisure, you'll explore the imposing structures of Cheops, Chephren, and Menkaure before marveling at the enigmatic Great Sphinx, which has watched over the pyramids for millennia. At lunchtime, you'll enjoy a delicious meal at a local restaurant with a view of the pyramids. (Drinks are not included.) Optionally, you can take an unforgettable camel ride through the desert and capture unique souvenir photos with the pyramids in the background. Additionally, you have the option of visiting one of the pyramids from the inside or exploring the adjacent Valley Temple of Khafre, where ritual embalming once took place.
