Your 2-day Luxor tour begins with a convenient pick-up from your hotel in Hurghada. Our first stop is the impressive Karnak Temple, the largest temple complex in Egypt. With pre-purchased tickets to avoid long lines, you’ll explore this sprawling open-air museum with your expert guide. Your guide will share the fascinating history and significance of Karnak.
Afterward, we’ll visit the famous Luxor Temple, a sacred site built during the New Kingdom by Amenhotep III and Ramses II. The Luxor Temple was the center of the great Opet Festival and was dedicated to the Theban Triad of Amun, Mut, and Khonsu. Learn about the ancient rituals performed at this temple as you wander through its majestic halls.
You will be picked up from your hotel in the early morning between 4:00 and 5:30 am and, depending on the option booked, will travel in a small group in an air-conditioned and comfortable van. Naturally, we offer our usual excellent service! To give you a boost for the day, we will treat you to a selection of snacks, a cola, and three bottles of water in the morning. DAY FIRST – WEST LUXOR WITH A SMALL GROUP IN A VAN During the 160-kilometer drive through the Eastern Desert, you'll experience impressive mountain ranges reminiscent of the Alps around 7:00 AM. We'll make a short stop at a Bedouin village along the way, where you can get a drink and use the restroom. At the end of the desert stretch, the green Nile Valley appears, and you'll continue for another 60 kilometers on the highway to Luxor. You'll arrive in Luxor around 10:00 AM and begin by visiting the famous pharaohs' tombs of the New Kingdom. Here, in the Valley of the Kings, you'll have the opportunity to discover the final resting place of the golden pharaoh Tutankhamun and immerse yourself in the fascinating world of ancient Egyptian rulers. Next, we'll visit the impressive terraced temple of Queen Hatshepsut, one of the most important rulers in Egyptian history. Admire the breathtaking architecture and stunning scenery that make this place an unforgettable experience. You'll arrive in Luxor around 10:00 AM and begin by visiting the famous tombs of the pharaohs of the New Kingdom. The next stop is the majestic Colossi of Memnon, the colossal statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. These impressive monuments tell stories from a bygone era and will leave you in awe. In the west, you'll enjoy a well-deserved lunch at an Egyptian restaurant, where you can sample traditional dishes. Afterward, the bus will take you to your 4-star hotel overlooking the Nile, where you can relax and enjoy dinner (included in the price). During this time, you have the option of taking a traditional boat trip on the Nile or a horse-drawn carriage ride through Luxor Market (if selected as an option or extra). If desired, you can experience the fascinating sound and light show at Karnak Temple for one hour in the evening, as well as take a horse-drawn carriage ride through Luxor Market (if selected as an option or extra). DAY TWO – EAST LUXOR BY INDIVIDUAL TRANSPORTATION After checking out, your second day begins in style and comfort with an exclusive private limousine tour through East Luxor. Your first stop is the Karnak Temple complex, the largest temple complex in the world, known for its impressive hypostyle hall and sacred lake. Afterward, you'll travel to the centrally located Luxor Temple, near the famous Abu el-Hagag Mosque. In the east, you'll enjoy a well-deserved lunch at an Egyptian restaurant, where you can sample traditional dishes. Afterward, our van will pick you up and take you comfortably back to your hotel in Hurghada. Your first destination is the Karnak Temple complex, the largest temple complex in the world, famous for its impressive hypostyle hall and sacred lake. At the end of the day, you'll be taken back to your hotel with many breathtaking impressions. However we spend the day together, you'll create unforgettable memories!
